About Artwork

Oil paint reproductions created on linen and pure cotton canvas are produced in small, limited editions of 35 pieces, each signed and numbered.

COMPOSITION

“Wines in Winter” (Collection Journey)

The Judea mountains gradually descend into the fringes of the Negev Desert. During the winter months, this region experiences intense and sudden rainfall, which carves through the arid landscape. The winter season transforms the wines plantations into vibrant shades of red, while the vegetation in the desert, including grass and wheat fields, flourishes in a brilliant green.

TECHNIQUE

Thin transparent and semi0transparent layers of oil paints, and gentle gradual impasto in bright spots. Layers deposited subsequently on canvas, Each new layer is deposited after previous layer is completely dry, layered structure create composite, brilliant shades of colors as light passes through the layers and is partially reflected/refracted by them. Technique invented and perfected by Leonardo DaVinci over many years.
